妊娠、出産にまつわる英語表現 その２

今回は前回に引き続き、妊娠、出産に関する英語パート２です。

お腹目立ってきたね。と言いたい時は、

You are starting to show.

My baby bump has appeared.

胎動：baby kicking, moving

When do you start feeling your baby kicking ?

逆子：breech position 

My baby was in breech position at my last doctor's visit.

ちなみに漂白するは、bleachです。私は最初こっちかと思いました

不妊治療：infertility treatment

I've decided to go for infertility treatment so I can have a baby.

流産：miscarriage

I had one miscarriage before having my son.

自然分娩：natural labor もしくは、

I will have a natural birth.

無痛分娩：epidural labor / epidural birthの方が口語的

Are you going to use epidural / painless delivery ? = 麻酔を使いますか？

帝王切開：C-section (Caesarean section)

I delivered my baby by a C-section.

分娩室：delivery room (DR) / Labor and Delivery Room (LDR)

陣痛室：labor room

陣痛：labor / contraction

I have labor pains every 5  minutes.

I'm in labor.

I'm going into labor.

陣痛誘発剤：labor induction (induction:誘導)

My wife was prescribed the labor induction.

(prescribe : 処方する、prescription : 処方箋)

破水：water breaking

破水する：one's water break

My water broke !

～の出産に立ち会う：be with ~ during childbirth

My husband was with me during childbirth.

母乳育児：breastfeeding　

I raised my baby by breastfeeding.

授乳する：breastfeeding

母乳：breast milk

産休：maternity leave

I am taking maternity leave from next week.

産休中：I am on maternity leave.

育休：childcare leave (childcare : 保育)

My husband wants to take childcare leave.

家族や友達に出産報告をする時の表現もいくつか紹介します！

One new baby boy / girl arrived into the world on Tuesday morning.

We welcomed our son / daughter into the world.

(baby's name) was born this morning at (time).

Welcome to the world,(baby's name).

I had a baby boy yesterday.
